Yackandandah, Victoria
Gold was discovered at the meeting of Yackandandah Creek and Commissioners Creek in December 1852 and by 1854 three hotels had been licensed. The main street is lined with historic buildings and english trees.
The main street is of such historic significance that the entire commercial area has been classified by the National Trust.
